As a content creator for streetsounds.net, I’m always seeking out vibrant locales that offer unique experiences. For those with a penchant for design and distinctive home furnishings, Sacramento Street in San Francisco’s prestigious Pacific Heights neighborhood stands out as an absolute gem. This street is a treasure trove, boasting an eclectic mix of boutiques where you can uncover everything from exquisite tea sets to statement lighting pieces that are guaranteed to elevate any home. Whether you’re a seasoned interior designer, a homeowner looking to add personality to your space, or simply someone who appreciates beautiful things, Sacramento Street provides an unparalleled shopping experience. It’s also the perfect destination for leisurely window shopping or finding that truly special gift.
Recently, I had the pleasure of revisiting Sacramento Street with my sister and her mother-in-law. As I guided them through the various shops, I realized my approach to navigating this shopper’s paradise has become quite refined over time. To make the most of your visit, I highly recommend starting at one end of Sacramento Street and methodically exploring each store as you make your way to the other. My preferred starting point is between Broderick and Baker streets, heading towards Locust Street. This ensures you don’t miss any of the wonderful offerings along the way.
And for those who believe shopping and fine dining go hand-in-hand, or simply anticipate working up an appetite while exploring, Sacramento Street also boasts some delightful culinary spots. I’ve included three of my favorite places for lunch, a quick snack, or even a celebratory Bellini at the end of this guide.

The Future Perfect
Modern furniture and lighting display at The Future Perfect store on Sacramento Street
While The Future Perfect might initially seem intimidating with its avant-garde designs, I encourage you to step inside. The staff is incredibly welcoming and happy to assist, even if you simply want to admire the stunning array of lighting and furniture. During my recent visit, I was particularly taken by their unique chairs and stools – pieces that truly exemplify innovative design and craftsmanship. This store is a showcase of cutting-edge contemporary design.
Cisco Home
Cisco Home Sacramento Street store interior displaying approachable and stylish home decor
Cisco Home is a more recent addition to Sacramento Street and a very welcome one. My sister aptly described their style as “approachable home decor,” and it’s true. She loved almost everything in the store, and appreciated that the price points were more accessible compared to some of the other luxury shops nearby. Personally, I have been a Cisco Home customer for years, and even collaborated with them on a custom chandelier project for a client in Los Gatos, California, which you can see here. Cisco Home offers stylish and comfortable pieces for everyday living.

Anthem / Anthem Bed & Bath
Anthem Interiors storefront with a curated display of tabletop items and lighting
Anthem has been a go-to of mine for years when sourcing everything from tabletop decor to distinctive lighting. My clients often enjoy visiting Anthem with me, and the staff is exceptionally helpful in finding the perfect piece or gift. Just a few doors down, Anthem Bed & Bath extends the Anthem experience, offering luxury linens, more lighting options, beautiful mirrors, and artwork. Both stores are excellent for finding sophisticated gifts. If you visit, ask for Robert and mention I sent you – he’s truly one of the kindest people you’ll meet.

I received the most beautiful strainer from Hudson Grace – yes, a strainer! And I absolutely love it. It’s one of those items I proudly display filled with fruit, and guests always admire it. But beyond strainers, Hudson Grace offers a delightful sensory experience. The moment you enter, you’re likely to be greeted by the scent of their amazing candles, which you’ll undoubtedly want to add to your growing pile of purchases. Beautiful coffee table books, cookbooks, large cutting boards, baskets, pantry items, and tabletop pieces all beckon to come home with you. I also enjoy chatting with the staff, as they often share fascinating stories behind some of their unique items.

For globally sourced textiles and vibrant patterns, St. Frank is unmatched.
Sacramento Street Dining: Lunch Spots for the Stylish Shopper
As Quoted restaurant exterior with outdoor seating
As Quoted (http://www.eatasquoted.com/)
This sister-owned restaurant offers a relaxed and casual atmosphere. As Quoted is known for its healthy and fresh menu options, making it a great choice for those with dietary preferences or restrictions. I am particularly fond of their turmeric latte – a must-try!
Magic Flute (http://www.magicfluteristorante.com/)
For a more formal dining experience compared to As Quoted, Magic Flute offers consistently delicious Italian cuisine. I recommend requesting a Bellini and a table on their charming backyard patio for a truly delightful lunch.
Spruce (http://sprucesf.com/food_wine)
While Spruce is known for its pricier but worthwhile dinner service, their lunch menu provides excellent options at a more accessible price point. Try their burger – you won’t be disappointed. It’s a perfect way to refuel after a morning of shopping.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this curated shopping guide to Sacramento Street in San Francisco. Happy exploring!
