The driving force behind the Collective’s impressive music curation is Chris Anderson, a respected figure with deep roots in the Chicago jazz community. Prior to his role at Fulton Street Collective, Anderson was the lead booking agent at Evanston’s renowned Nevin’s Live and served as the General Manager of Chicago’s iconic Green Mill Tavern for over a decade. His significant contributions to music and culture were recently recognized with the prestigious Irma Pickens Outstanding Jazz Advocate Award from the Jazz Institute of Chicago.
Throughout the pandemic, Fulton Street Collective, under Chris Anderson’s leadership, became a national leader in presenting live jazz, broadcasting performances almost nightly via their YouTube channel. This initiative allowed a global audience to witness Fulton Street Collective’s unwavering dedication to jazz and its musicians.
