Join Target 95th Street: Be an On-Demand Guest Advocate

Are you looking for a flexible job that fits your life and lets you shine in customer service? Target 95th Street is hiring energetic and guest-focused individuals to join our team as On-Demand Guest Advocates. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love interacting with people, and want to be part of a company that values its team members, this could be the perfect opportunity for you in the 95th Street area.

What is an On-Demand Guest Advocate at Target?

Imagine a job where you have the freedom to build your own schedule. As an On-Demand Team Member (TM) at Target, that’s exactly what you get. This role is designed for those seeking a personalized work schedule, allowing you to work as much or as little as you want, depending on shift availability and store needs at our 95th Street location and potentially nearby stores.

Unlike traditional roles with fixed weekly schedules, you’ll use the myTime mobile app to pick up shifts that are posted by leaders or other team members. It’s all about creating a work-life balance that suits you.

However, to be successful in this role, active engagement is key. We require you to regularly pick up and work shifts and respond to our communications. Throughout the year, we will reach out to confirm your continued interest in working at Target. Consistent communication and a willingness to work when our store at 95th Street is busiest are essential.

Keep in mind that regular attendance means picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks, for a minimum of four hours. While flexibility is possible for personal circumstances, responding to our contact attempts is mandatory to maintain your On-Demand status. Working at least one shift within a 6-month period (and soon to be 5 months from December 2024) is required to avoid administrative termination.

Upon being offered an On-Demand TM position, you’ll participate in a Target Welcome orientation and a short, structured training program to ensure you’re fully prepared to excel as a Guest Advocate serving the 95th Street community. After training, the myTime app becomes your central tool for managing your flexible work life.

Service & Engagement: The Heart of the Guest Advocate Role

Guest Advocates are the champions of guest experience at Target. You’re the friendly face that welcomes guests, exceeds their service expectations, and ensures they leave happy and satisfied. This role is all about creating a positive and efficient shopping experience, both in our physical store and through our digital services.

As a Guest Advocate, you will be empowered to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, and pick-up and drive-up areas. Your focus on exceptional quality and guest interaction is what drives guest loyalty and makes Target a preferred shopping destination in the 95th Street area.
