What to Expect

Happening Now

The intersection of Broadway and South is currently open for traffic.

Traffic on Broadway Street itself is now limited to outbound direction only (away from downtown). To navigate around the closures, please follow the marked detour routes.

Waterline work continues from South Ave. to Western Ave., expected to last through December and potentially into January 2025. Residents and businesses will receive advance notice of any planned water service interruptions, which are anticipated to be minimal.

Due to the ongoing waterline installation, crossing Broadway Street via Walbridge Ave. is no longer possible for drivers.

The section of Broadway Street from Stebbins St. to South Ave. is open to two-way traffic.

Through Winter

Broadway Street will continue to be limited to outbound traffic only throughout the winter months.

Pedestrian access will be maintained on both sides of Broadway Street with sidewalks available. Please note that some sidewalk sections may be gravel surfaced due to ongoing water line work.

Spring 2025

As the construction season resumes in Spring 2025, crews will return to complete sidewalk construction, install medians and landscaping, and apply the final layer of asphalt to Broadway Street.

Summer 2025

The Broadway Street project is scheduled to be fully completed by Summer 2025!
