This adjustment, announced by the Cambridge Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department, aims to align parking costs at the First Street and Green Street garages with comparable facilities in the vicinity. While daily rates are being updated, there will be no changes to night, weekend, and monthly parking fees at this time. These revisions are thoughtfully implemented to maintain reasonable rates for daily parkers while reflecting current parking market values. For the majority of daily users, the adjustment will result in an increase of $2.00 to $4.00 in their total parking expenditure.

Resident Monthly Parking Program at First Street Garage
Cambridge residents are reminded of the preferential monthly parking program available at the First Street Parking Garage. Eligible residents with a Resident Parking Permit can avail of monthly parking at a reduced rate of $100.00 from May through November, and $50.00 per month during the colder months, December through April. A one-time fee of $10.00 applies for the electronic access card required for garage entry and exit.
