Looking for the perfect spot to kick off your weekend in Madison? This year for my birthday, I was determined to discover a brunch location that was entirely new to me. Madison is known for its vibrant food scene, and weekend brunch is practically a local pastime. Scrolling through countless “best brunch in Madison” lists online, one name consistently appeared in the top rankings: Bassett Street Brunch Club. Naturally, my curiosity was piqued, and I knew I had to experience it for myself.
A little digging revealed that Bassett Street Brunch Club is part of the esteemed Food Fight Restaurant Group, founded by Monty Schiro. This immediately raised my expectations, as Monty’s Blue Plate Diner, another gem in the Food Fight family, is already one of my absolute favorite restaurants in town. Knowing this connection, I was optimistic that Bassett Street Brunch Club would deliver a similarly delightful experience.
Bassett Street Brunch Club boasts a prime location in downtown Madison, perfectly situated at the corner of West Johnson Street and Bassett Street. This central spot is truly ideal, placing it within easy reach of numerous shops, restaurants, and Madison attractions, including the bustling State Street. The convenience of its downtown location makes it an excellent choice for both locals and visitors exploring the city.
