Bank Street Summer Camp offers an enriching blend of education and recreation, creating memorable experiences for children from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade (ages 4 to 13). More than just a typical summer camp, Bank Street provides a nurturing environment where young minds can explore various interests, including the captivating world of Bank Street Theater.
This summer, Bank Street Summer Camp is running three-week sessions, from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, with extended After Camp options available until 5:45 PM, designed to accommodate busy family schedules. Each day is packed with specialized activities led by experienced education professionals, ensuring both fun and developmental growth. While campers enjoy a wide array of programs, the bank street theater component stands out, offering a unique opportunity for children to express themselves creatively and build confidence through performance.
Imagine your child discovering the excitement of drama and storytelling within the supportive setting of bank street theater at summer camp. Alongside theater, the camp curriculum includes engaging activities in Spanish and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), ensuring a well-rounded summer experience. Campers also have the chance to cool off with swimming sessions twice a week and embark on exciting weekly field trips to explore the city. Snacks are provided daily, and a lunch option from Butter Beans Kitchen, the same provider for the Bank Street School for Children, is available for an additional fee.
Located at 610 West 112th Street, Bank Street Summer Camp provides a safe and comfortable environment for all activities, including bank street theater programs. Each camp group has its own air-conditioned classroom equipped with age-appropriate materials. Campers also benefit from the outdoor deck and the nearby fields and playgrounds of Riverside Park, just a short walk away. The location is easily accessible, with options for walking, biking, driving, and public transportation via the 1 Train at 110th Street and the M104 and M60 bus routes.
