New York Fashion Week is always a highlight in the fashion calendar, a whirlwind of runway shows, buzzing parties, and endless style inspiration. The February shows, however, present a unique sartorial challenge thanks to the city’s notoriously cold winter weather. This year, the freezing temperatures were particularly biting, making the daily question of “what to wear?” even more crucial for staying stylish while navigating the city’s fashion scene.
During this fashion week, I leaned into a more streamlined color approach, often sticking to a palette of just one or two shades for a sophisticated and cohesive look. I also embraced the opportunity to experiment with bolder styles, starting with a sharp suit and wide-brimmed hat combination on Day 1:

Moving into Day 2, I made a statement in a luxurious fur coat, generously loaned to me by my friend and designer, Farley Chatto. This piece was the perfect blend of high-fashion and essential warmth against the February chill.

Day 3 saw me exploring a bolder combination of black, white, and orange, resulting in a look that was a playful mix of sporty, biker, and western influences – a true collision of distinct style aesthetics.

Day 4 demanded ultimate warmth, leading me to concede and wear a parka. To keep the look fresh and avoid a drab winter feel, I chose a winter white parka, accented with touches of black for contrast.

For my final day of New York Fashion Week shows, I returned to fur. Inspired by the subtle mauve tones in the fur coat, I built the rest of the outfit around this color palette, choosing a dark purple sweater and light lavender pants for a harmonious and fashion-forward conclusion to the week.
