Alameda Point Antiques Faire: Northern California’s Premier Monthly Swap Meet for Vintage Treasures

Mark your calendars! The Alameda Point Antiques Faire, the largest and most beloved antiques show in Northern California, is set to open its gates once again on March 2nd. Despite a forecast that hints at occasional light showers, we’re proceeding as planned and eagerly anticipate welcoming you to a treasure trove of vintage and antique finds.

Often referred to as a spectacular Alameda swap meet for antique enthusiasts, this monthly event, held every first Sunday, is a must-visit destination. Boasting over 800 dealer booths, the Alameda Point Antiques Faire is unparalleled in its scale and selection. Here, every item carries a story, with each piece being genuinely vintage or antique, aged 20 years or more. If you’re on the hunt for unique vintage home decorations, timeless clothing, classic furniture, exquisite jewelry, captivating art, distinctive pottery, rare books, or unique collectibles, this Alameda antique market is your ultimate shopping destination.

Planning your visit is straightforward. Tickets are available at the Box Office upon arrival, and we operate on a CASH ONLY basis for admissions. Forget about parking hassles – Parking is absolutely FREE for all attendees. To further enhance your convenience, our complimentary Shuttle service will be running from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. This shuttle provides easy transportation from the parking area directly to the Faire Entrance, with convenient stops at the Ferry Building on Main Street for those arriving via ferry.

In remembrance, we take a moment to honor the dealers who are no longer with us, yet remain in our hearts. Many of our long-time attendees have developed close relationships with our dedicated dealers over the years. Responding to customer requests to acknowledge those we’ve lost from our dealer family, we will periodically share tributes.

We sadly announce the passing of Annum Farooq on January 3, 2025. Annum was a cherished rug dealer, partnering with Abdul Qureshi, and had been a part of our faire for many years. He passed away on the Friday preceding our January show. Our deepest sympathies are with his family and friends. He will be profoundly missed.

We also mourn the loss of Charles Rose, who passed away from natural causes on Saturday, January 25. Charles was a foundational dealer at our show since its inception and more recently shared booths I27-28-29 with William Warmboe and Allen S. since 2009. While he had been unwell recently, his absence will be felt. Our thoughts are with his wife, family, and friends during this difficult time.

Safety Reminder for Vendors: Secure Your Tents! (Click to view a video illustrating the importance of tent weights). A recent incident at the Rose Bowl, where unexpected winds caused unsecured tents to become airborne hazards, serves as a crucial reminder to all vendors to properly weigh down their tents to prevent accidents.
