Discover Upscale Southern Cuisine at Beech Street Grill in Amelia Island’s Historic District

Nestled in the heart of Amelia Island’s Historic District, Beech Street Grill offers a unique dining experience that blends upscale Southern cuisine with innovative culinary flair. Open Tuesday through Saturday, this restaurant provides both locals and visitors with delicious food and handcrafted cocktails in a charming and historic setting.

Beech Street Grill’s menu is a celebration of fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms, fields, and waterways. The culinary team expertly combines classic Southern dishes with modern techniques, creating unforgettable flavors that change with the seasons. Complementing the exquisite food is a carefully selected wine list and a range of handcrafted cocktails, ensuring a perfect pairing for every palate. The restaurant believes in the simple pleasure of good food enjoyed in great company, making every meal a fantastic experience.

The restaurant is located within the William Bell House, affectionately known as the “Grande Dame of Beech Street.” This stunning building, constructed in 1889 by Captain William Bell as a wedding gift, boasts remarkable architectural features. Identical twin brothers William and James Bell, successful river pilots and real estate investors, left a significant mark on Fernandina Beach, and the William Bell House stands as a testament to their legacy.

The William Bell House itself is an attraction, notable for its elegant bay windows and two-story verandahs adorned with Chippendale-style balustrades. Inside, marble mantels and fireplace facades, imported from Italy, England, and Belgium, add to the historic grandeur. Beech Street Grill has meticulously restored each space, creating a modern and inviting atmosphere that beautifully merges the best of historical charm with contemporary design.

Beyond the regular menu, Beech Street Grill offers enticing weekly specials and events. Tuesdays are for Locals Appreciation, offering 20% off the entire tab for Nassau County residents. Wine enthusiasts can enjoy Wine Down Wednesday with half-price bottles of wine all day. Whiskey lovers have two nights to celebrate: Whiskey Thursday and Friday Rye-Day, both featuring discounts on select whiskey, scotch, and bourbon. For those seeking entertainment, Trivia Night takes place on the first Wednesday of each month. Throughout September, guests can also take advantage of special prix fixe menus as part of Amelia Island Dining Month. Beech Street Grill provides not just a meal, but a destination experience steeped in history and flavor.
