This site is designed to help you dispose of grass clippings, leaves, and tree waste properly, ensuring these materials are composted effectively.
Permits for Compost Site Access
To utilize the St. Cloud compost site, a permit is required. These permits are annual and must be renewed each year. Permit sales for the 2025 season open on Monday, March 17, 2025. You can purchase your permit in person at City Hall during regular business hours. Alternatively, you can mail your application to City Hall. To apply by mail, download and complete the Compost Permit Application (PDF). Please note that mail-in applications require 7-10 days for processing. Permits are not available for purchase at the compost site itself or online.

Finding the Compost Site on 33rd Street
The St. Cloud Compost Site is located at 522 33rd Street South. It’s situated within the St. Cloud River Bluffs Regional Park area, making it easily accessible. Operating Hours and Schedule
Adhering to the operating hours is crucial. Entering the site outside of these hours is considered a violation and could lead to permit revocation. The compost site operates seasonally from April 1, 2025, to November 22, 2025, weather permitting.
