Your Role as a Personal Trainer at Franklin Street
As an Equinox Personal Trainer at Franklin Street, you are embarking on a career path that empowers both your personal and professional growth. You will receive guidance from two dedicated managers who will support you in refining your approach to program design, continuing education, business acumen, and financial planning. This comprehensive support system ensures your personal training career is as limitless as your passion for fitness. Key Responsibilities to Master and Implement:
Personal Training Business Management:
- Actively build and nurture a robust client base at Equinox Franklin Street.
- Efficiently manage your schedule, including client sessions, meetings, and open availability, using our internal scheduling systems.
- Proactively market and sell personal training programs to Equinox Franklin Street members through various channels, including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions within our Franklin Street location.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all Equinox Franklin Street services, programs, and product offerings to effectively cater to member needs.
Exceptional Service and Hospitality:
- Conduct detailed fitness assessments, lead engaging guided workouts, and provide other complimentary services to members at Equinox Franklin Street.
- Engage with members to enhance their overall workout experience and foster a welcoming and motivating club atmosphere at Franklin Street.
- Develop and coach customized fitness programs for both in-person and virtual clients, tailored to their individual goals and needs.
- Ensure the fitness floor at Equinox Franklin Street remains organized and safe during your shifts and training sessions.
Commitment to Professional Development:
- Participate in Continuing Education courses to expand your fitness knowledge and advance your career, qualifying for promotions within Equinox.
- Actively attend and contribute to all required individual and team meetings with Equinox Franklin Street management to stay aligned and informed.
What We Look For in a Personal Trainer:
- Current Personal Training certification or a commitment to obtain one through our certification reimbursement program.
- Eligibility for a higher tier and pay rate based on relevant experience and education, particularly a degree in a related field.
- Current CPR/AED certification (certification opportunities are available for non-certified applicants).
- A genuine passion for fitness, a strong work ethic, ambition, and a deep understanding of exercise science.
- Availability to work in person at Equinox Franklin Street during weekdays and weekends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage client schedules and administrative tasks.
- Basic computer and technology skills for scheduling and program management.
- An energetic, friendly, punctual, and respectful demeanor to contribute to our positive club environment.
