Nashville is about to welcome a unique entertainment and dining experience with the arrival of Fogg Street Lawn Club. From the owners of the popular Bad Axe Throwing Nashville, Thom and Angela Dahle, this new venture promises a blend of British-inspired lawn sports, rooftop views, and distinctive cuisine, all located conveniently next door to Bad Axe at 648 Fogg St. Anticipated to open in Spring 2024, Fogg Street Lawn Club is poised to become a must-visit destination in Nashville’s vibrant Pie Town neighborhood.
The development is a collaborative effort, with Daniels & Chandler Architects leading the design, Katalyst Restaurant Concepts crafting the kitchen and bar experience, and Eshelman Construction managing the build. Fogg Street Lawn Club is set to introduce a novel concept to Nashville: British Lawn Bowling on an 8,000 square foot rooftop. Unlike the more familiar Bocce Ball, Lawn Bowling involves rolling a weighted ball to curve towards a smaller target, offering an accessible and enjoyable activity for all skill levels.
The rooftop setting of Fogg Street Lawn Club is designed to maximize the stunning downtown Nashville skyline views. Located in Pie Town, the venue’s central address ensures guests will enjoy unparalleled panoramic vistas. The rooftop bowling area will feature eight individual lanes, known as rinks, complete with covered VIP seating options, enhancing the experience for groups and special occasions.
Beyond the lawn bowling greens, Fogg Street Lawn Club will offer a full dining experience. The menu is being developed to feature unique European dishes, thoughtfully curated to resonate with Nashville’s culinary preferences while incorporating familiar Southern influences. Complementing the food menu will be a well-stocked bar, promising a wide selection of beverages to suit every taste.
In a statement to What Now Nashville, Thom Dahle shared insights into the culinary direction of Fogg Street Lawn Club. “The menu will feature house-made British and Celtic-inspired items with a bit of a Southern flare in addition to an impressive British/Irish draft beer and whiskey selection,” he explained. This carefully considered menu aims to provide a distinctive and appealing dining experience for Nashville locals and visitors alike.
Fogg Street Lawn Club is envisioned to be a truly unique addition to Nashville’s entertainment landscape. Thom Dahle emphasized the team’s enthusiasm for bringing something new and distinctive to downtown Nashville. Drawing on the experience and dedicated team that contributed to the success of Bad Axe Throwing, they are confident in creating another exceptional venue. “Our team is most excited to bring something new and unique to downtown Nashville with this incredible rooftop British Lawn Bowling venue. The thought and detail we put into Bad Axe, and more importantly the amazing team of people we built will be the key to the success of the new venue,” Thom stated.
