Grace Street: Your 24/7 Recovery Community on Maryland’s Eastern Shore

Grace Street is a dedicated recovery community organization (RCO) serving Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We are committed to saving lives and supporting healing for individuals and families impacted by substance use. Operating around the clock, Grace Street provides a safe, peer-led environment and acts as Talbot County’s ‘safe station’. If you or someone you know is seeking detox, inpatient treatment, or other recovery services, we are here to help connect you with the resources you need. We offer guidance and secure transportation, ensuring immediate access to crucial care, though we do not provide direct treatment ourselves.

As the only RCO in the Mid-Shore region, Grace Street is proud to offer comprehensive, peer-centered support. Our experienced peers deliver a range of non-clinical, community-based services. These include direct peer support, vital harm reduction resources, street outreach to connect with individuals in need, workforce training and development programs to aid reintegration, youth-focused initiatives, and overdose prevention education and resources. We also facilitate various support groups to foster community and shared healing.

Grace Street is at the forefront of harm reduction in the region, hosting the first and only harm reduction vending machine. This resource provides crucial supplies such as Narcan, Fentanyl test strips, and Xylazine test strips. To further enhance accessibility, we have installed harm reduction distribution boxes, known as ‘Barneys,’ in accessible locations across Talbot and Caroline counties, offering 24-hour, no-barrier access to these life-saving tools.
