In the heart of Honolulu, Kahai Street Kitchen Catering has been serving up exceptional culinary experiences since 2006. Originally established as a dedicated catering company on Kalihi Street, our passion for food and community quickly blossomed. For over 18 years, we’ve had the privilege of being a part of countless weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations throughout Oahu.
It wasn’t long after our catering venture began that we listened to our growing fanbase. The resounding feedback was clear: “Your food is too good to only enjoy at events! Open a plate lunch spot!” Inspired by this encouragement, we launched our Honolulu restaurant in the summer of 2006, offering gourmet plate lunches. We haven’t looked back since, happily serving the flavors of the islands to our loyal customers.
To better accommodate our expanding plate lunch and catering operations, we relocated in 2016 to our current, convenient location on 946 Coolidge Street. You can find us just across from Mo’ili’ili Neighborhood Park, a short distance from First Hawaiian Bank and University Avenue. This accessible spot provides ample street parking and a small lot, making it easy for you to grab a delicious meal or discuss your catering needs.
At Kahai Street Kitchen, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse menu that blends beloved local favorites with sophisticated culinary classics. From hearty Beef Wellington and delicate Duck Breast Confit to robust Steak Au Poivre and savory Porchetta, our dishes are crafted with care and culinary expertise. Our menu also features freshly ground pure-beef hamburgers, enticing seafood creations, and innovative daily specials to keep your taste buds delighted. And let’s not forget our pasta dishes, featuring delectable, scratch-made sauces.
