Remembering Xander Dee-Lynn Street: A Life Lived with Passion on Lynn Street

The Magna, Utah community mourns the untimely passing of Xander Dee-Lynn Street, an 18-year-old resident whose vibrant life was tragically cut short on July 13, 2024. Born on March 21, 2006, the first day of spring, in West Jordan, Utah, to parents Cody Lynn Street and Jennifer Marie Lester Bauman, Xander embodied the energy and renewal of the season of his birth.

Xander lived with a fierce determination, embracing life with an intensity that was both captivating and inspiring to those around him on Lynn Street and beyond. His passions were pursued with vigor, none more so than his love for fishing. Whether it was a lake, river, or stream, any body of water was an invitation for Xander to cast a line. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby; it was a core part of who he was. Fond memories are shared of his cherished fishing trips with his Grandpa Ed. There is solace in knowing they are reunited, undoubtedly by a serene lake, sharing stories and enjoying their favorite pastime together.

Beyond fishing, Xander possessed a remarkable affinity for animals. His home was often a haven for a growing menagerie of pets, reflecting his caring nature and love for creatures big and small. Family and friends were also central to Xander’s life. He treasured moments spent traveling, enjoying the thrill of boating, the tranquility of camping and hiking, and the camaraderie of video games. His inquisitive mind extended to mechanics and technology, finding joy in working on small engines and exploring the intricacies of computers.

Among all his roles, being a father to his 19-month-old daughter, Xahlesse Mae Street, was perhaps his most defining. His love for Xahlesse was profound and unconditional. He prioritized her needs above all else, cherishing every precious moment spent with her. It is in Xahlesse that Xander’s spirit will continue to shine brightly. Those who knew Xander will remember him for his passionate spirit, his extensive knowledge on subjects he loved, and his infectious smile that could illuminate any room. His dedication to loved ones was unwavering and formed the bedrock of his relationships.

Xander is lovingly survived by his daughter Xahlesse Street, his parents Cody and Shelly Street, Jennifer and Michael Bauman, and siblings Kaiya, Sariyah, Felicity, Taeshawn, and Ryker (Ry Ry). He also leaves behind his grandparents Rick Phillips, Cindy Street, Janica Haun, Randy Lester, and Jana and Ben Cahoon, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss his presence. Xander was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Cindy Espinosa and his Uncle Justin Lester.

A memorial service celebrating Xander’s life will be held on July 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memorial Murray Mortuary, located at 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah 84121. Following the service, cremation will take place at a later date.
