Having tasted similar over-the-top milkshake experiences at places like Peace Treats in Toronto, Black Tap in New York City, and Las Locas Malteadas de Carranza in Querétaro, I can confidently say M Street Bakery holds its own – and perhaps even surpasses them in sheer creativity. We opted for the S’mores and Fruity Pebbles milkshakes, and prepare to be amazed by the descriptions.
My S’mores milkshake was a masterpiece. Imagine a hand-dipped chocolate rim, chocolate syrup swirled within, a mini-cupcake perched on a stick, a whole graham cracker, mountains of whipped cream, toasted marshmallows on another stick, a piece of Hershey’s chocolate, and a toasted marshmallow flavored milkshake base. The glass was generously filled, topped with even more homemade whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a sprinkle of edible golden glitter for extra sparkle.

The Fruity Pebbles milkshake was equally extravagant. A vanilla-dipped rim encrusted with Fruity Pebbles cereal led the way to a Fruity Pebbles milkshake base, topped with whipped cream, a mini-cupcake on a stick, a full donut also adorned with Fruity Pebbles, half of a sprinkle-covered strawberry Pop-Tart, and yet more whipped cream. It too was dusted with edible gold glitter, though perhaps a touch less than my S’mores creation.

Due to my gluten intolerance, I passed my cupcake and graham cracker to my husband, who enthusiastically incorporated them into his own milkshake, creating what he dubbed a “super massive milkshake.” Despite my sweet tooth, I could only manage about 5-6 sips of my S’mores milkshake – it was intensely sweet, as expected, but utterly delicious. My husband bravely attempted to conquer his Fruity Pebbles behemoth, making it about halfway through the milkshake, devouring both mini-cupcakes (which he declared incredible), and sampling the donut before admitting defeat. Even sharing a single milkshake would have been a challenge for us!
