Located in the charming heart of Rolesville, Main Street Park offers a delightful retreat with a variety of amenities perfect for family outings, events, and enjoying the outdoors. Situated at 200 South Main Street with an additional entrance at 500 Scarboro Street (accessible behind Sanford Creek Elementary, nearest to Shelter D), this park is a local gem.
Main Street Park boasts four rentable shelters, a picturesque gazebo, a spacious open play field, two playgrounds for different age groups, and over a mile of scenic greenway trails. For those planning spontaneous visits, shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis when not reserved.
Park Features:
- Shelter Amenities: Each of the four shelters is equipped with a charcoal grill and picnic table seating. For the convenience of all visitors, please ensure charcoal grills are cleaned after each use. Kindly note that personal grills and outside entertainment setups such as inflatables, DJ equipment, hired performers, or pop-up tents are not permitted within the park.
- Park Policies: To maintain a family-friendly environment, alcohol and tobacco products are strictly prohibited on Town property. Decorating for your event is welcome; each shelter provides a wire mechanism for hanging decorations with clothespins or clips, removing the need for tape. Please remember to remove all decorations and fasteners after your event. To keep the shelters clean and inviting for everyone, sidewalk chalk is not allowed under the shelters or any covered areas.
- Rental Information: All shelter rentals have a minimum duration of two hours, allowing ample time for your gatherings and activities.
