For years, I’ve been making and loving this salad dressing recipe, and it all started with a taste I remember fondly from Pearl Street Pasta. If you know Natchez, Mississippi, you might already be familiar with this flavor. This dressing is incredibly easy to make and has become a staple in my kitchen – I’m excited to finally share this Pearl Street Pasta inspired salad dressing recipe with you.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 cup White Vinegar
- 1 cup Sugar or Splenda (for a more authentic taste, use sugar)
- 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
Directions
- Combine the sugar (or Splenda), white vinegar, and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix in a bowl.
- Whisk the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Slowly add the extra virgin olive oil while continuing to whisk until the dressing is well combined.
- Pour this Pearl Street Pasta style salad dressing over your favorite salad greens and enjoy!
I prefer to store my homemade salad dressing in an old olive oil bottle. Remember, there’s no need to refrigerate this dressing. Just keep it in a dark cabinet, just as you would store your olive oil. This dressing isn’t just for salads; it’s also fantastic as a marinade for chicken, adding a burst of flavor reminiscent of Pearl Street Pasta to your meals.
