Pearl Street Pasta Salad Dressing: Bring the Taste of Natchez Home

For years, I’ve been making and loving this salad dressing recipe, and it all started with a taste I remember fondly from Pearl Street Pasta. If you know Natchez, Mississippi, you might already be familiar with this flavor. This dressing is incredibly easy to make and has become a staple in my kitchen – I’m excited to finally share this Pearl Street Pasta inspired salad dressing recipe with you.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 cup White Vinegar
  • 1 cup Sugar or Splenda (for a more authentic taste, use sugar)
  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar (or Splenda), white vinegar, and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix in a bowl.
  2. Whisk the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Slowly add the extra virgin olive oil while continuing to whisk until the dressing is well combined.
  4. Pour this Pearl Street Pasta style salad dressing over your favorite salad greens and enjoy!

I prefer to store my homemade salad dressing in an old olive oil bottle. Remember, there’s no need to refrigerate this dressing. Just keep it in a dark cabinet, just as you would store your olive oil. This dressing isn’t just for salads; it’s also fantastic as a marinade for chicken, adding a burst of flavor reminiscent of Pearl Street Pasta to your meals.
