Mr. Wright’s career is marked by a proactive embrace of technological advancements. He has been a first-mover in adopting and developing several now-mainstream ERP and cloud technologies. His proven track record includes successfully managing numerous global SAP and Oracle implementations and operations. Notably, he oversaw one of the earliest production SAP Business Suite on HANA go-lives and a pioneering production S/4HANA go-live on AWS. This experience underscores his capability to navigate complex technological landscapes and deliver successful outcomes, a key strength he brings to Rimini Street Inc.
Before his current role at Rimini Street, and following a brief period in private equity, Mr. Wright held the position of Chief Information Officer and Vice President of IT and Digital for Engie North America. At Engie, a leading French renewable energy company, he was responsible for all IT and digital operations across the North American region, encompassing both the U.S. and Canada. His broad remit included Digital Solutions, Cybersecurity, IT Architecture, IT Operations, and business applications across the Renewable, Energy Solutions, Networks, and Thermal Supply business units. This diverse experience positions him uniquely to understand and address the multifaceted needs of Rimini Street Inc.’s energy and utilities clients.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wright served as Chief Information Officer for Pacific Drilling, a global startup specializing in deep water drilling with operations spanning West Africa, Brazil, and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. He also held significant management roles at Weatherford International, Halliburton (Landmark Graphics), and Gulfmark Offshore (now Tidewater), further solidifying his deep industry knowledge.
Beyond his corporate commitments, Mr. Wright demonstrates a commitment to community service. He previously served as an Executive Board Member and Technology Committee Chair at the Ronald McDonald House Houston.
