Understanding the Auction Process

Once the auction opens on January 20th, registered iBid users can begin placing bids on their desired Riverside street signs. The starting bid for each sign is $300, and subsequent minimum bid increments are set at $5. While the iBid system is designed to notify bidders when they have been outbid, it is highly recommended that participants monitor the platform regularly to stay informed of the bidding on their preferred signs.

At the auction’s conclusion on February 3rd, the iBid system will automatically email winning bidders. Winners will also receive a follow-up email from the Village of Riverside, which will include a payment link and instructions for collecting their street sign from Village Hall. Payment is required by February 8th. Winners must present government-issued photo identification when picking up their street sign. For winning bidders residing outside of Riverside, shipping can be arranged at the winner’s expense, with estimated costs ranging from $50 to $100.

It is crucial to note that winners who do not claim and collect their street sign by Friday, February 28th at 4:30 p.m. will forfeit their auction win. In such cases, the street sign will be offered to the next highest bidder, who will have 14 days to claim it. This process will continue until each auctioned street sign is successfully claimed. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a unique piece of Riverside history!
