Planning a visit to the Xfinity Center located on South Main Street in Mansfield, MA for a concert or event? To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, especially if you intend to purchase alcoholic beverages, it’s important to be aware of the venue’s policies regarding identification and alcohol service. The Xfinity Center, a premier outdoor amphitheater, prioritizes the safety and well-being of its guests, and responsible alcohol consumption is a key part of that commitment.
To purchase alcohol at the Xfinity Center, you will be required to present valid identification to verify your age. The venue strictly adheres to Massachusetts state laws and regulations regarding alcohol sales. Acceptable forms of identification are as follows:
- Massachusetts Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license issued by the state of Massachusetts is accepted, provided it clearly indicates you are 21 years of age or older.
- Massachusetts Liquor ID Card: A valid Massachusetts Liquor Identification Card confirming you are at least 21 years old is also accepted.
- Massachusetts Identification Card: Similar to the Liquor ID, a standard Massachusetts Identification Card verifying your age as 21+ is valid.
- U.S. Passport or Passport Card: A valid United States Passport Identification Booklet or Passport Card is acceptable for age verification. For passports issued by countries other than the United States, a U.S. Customs Stamp, printed in English and indicating the holder is 21 years of age or older, is necessary.
- U.S. Military ID Card: A valid United States issued Military Identification Card confirming the holder is 21 years of age or older is also accepted.
For guests under the age of 26 presenting an out-of-state driver’s license or state ID card, age verification will be conducted electronically at the venue’s guest services. Similarly, guests under 26 with a valid passport or military ID will need to provide a secondary form of identification, such as a credit card with a signature, to further substantiate their identity.
Please be aware that Xfinity Center staff may request to see your valid identification at any time if you are in possession of alcoholic beverages on the premises. It is crucial to comply with these requests. Confiscated alcoholic beverages due to policy violations will not be refunded. Presenting false identification or providing alcohol to a minor can result in eviction from the venue and potential arrest. Furthermore, providing alcohol to another patron who cannot produce valid identification may also lead to eviction.
To promote responsible consumption, the Xfinity Center limits alcoholic beverage purchases to a maximum of two drinks per patron at one time, and reserves the right to further limit service to one drink per person at their discretion. Alcohol service will conclude at least one hour before the scheduled end of any event. The venue also reserves the right to discontinue alcohol sales at any point in time. Service will be refused to any patron deemed to be intoxicated. Importantly, alcoholic beverages purchased at the Xfinity Center must be consumed on-site and cannot be brought into or removed from the premises. Patrons found in possession of alcoholic beverages not purchased at the venue are subject to eviction.
The Xfinity Center retains the ultimate right to refuse any form of identification and to refuse or cease alcohol service to any patron at any time. These policies are implemented to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and are in accordance with regulations and responsible alcohol service practices at the Xfinity Center on South Main Street in Mansfield, MA.
