From Pitchfork to Pizza Paradise: The Easy Street Transformation
Restaurateur Dan Latino, owner of the Waterhouse Bar Group and both Pitchfork and Easy Street Pizza & Beer Garden, decided it was time for a change at the Irving Park location. While Pitchfork had a successful 10-year run, Latino felt the concept had run its course. He saw an opportunity to bring the popular Easy Street brand to a new community.
“I opened Easy Street in Portage Park three years ago. I’m passionate about making pizza, and with everything going on figured it was the perfect time to open a second location since the Portage Park community has really supported us,” Latino explained to Block Club. This expansion reflects the strong local support and the enduring appeal of Easy Street’s offerings.
What to Expect at Easy Street Pizza & Beer Garden in Irving Park
Just like its Portage Park sibling, the new Easy Street Pizza & Beer Garden in Irving Park will focus on serving up mouthwatering pizzas in a welcoming and casual setting. Customers can anticipate a menu similar to the original location, featuring a variety of pizzas crafted with fresh ingredients and creative flavor combinations. And for those who enjoyed some of Pitchfork’s dishes, there’s good news! Latino mentioned that some of Pitchfork’s most popular items might make their way onto the Easy Street menu, offering a blend of familiar favorites and new delights.
The Irving Park location will retain Pitchfork’s spacious patio, transforming it into a vibrant beer garden, perfect for enjoying a sunny afternoon or a warm evening. Sports enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Easy Street will continue to broadcast sporting events, making it an ideal spot to catch a game with friends while enjoying great food and drinks. To complement the pizza and atmosphere, Easy Street is also developing a brand new cocktail and beer list, promising a refreshing selection of beverages to pair with your meal.

Grand Opening Anticipated for Early July
The grand opening of Easy Street Pizza & Beer Garden in Irving Park is tentatively scheduled for the first week of July. However, like many businesses during the current climate, the opening is contingent on equipment delivery. Latino specifically mentioned waiting for pizza ovens, which are expected to arrive soon. Once these final pieces are in place, Irving Park residents can look forward to welcoming Easy Street to the neighborhood.
