Market Street San Angelo and San Angelo ISD (Independent School District) have proudly joined forces to recognize five exceptional educators as Market Street outstanding teachers. These San Angelo ISD Difference Makers were nominated and selected for their extraordinary commitment and impact on students within the San Angelo community.
On Friday, April 21, 2023, a special ceremony was held at the Market Street San Angelo location to honor these deserving teachers. The recognized educators are:
- Brittany Sanchez, Lake View High School – Career and Technical Education (CTE) Family and Consumer Science teacher and LVHS Ambassador sponsor
- Rhonda Hatfield, Central High School – Dual Credit History teacher and Department Head
- Kimberly Kolls, Lone Star Middle School – Instructional Planning and Math teacher
- Kristen Lenderman, Lone Star Middle School – Athletics and Physical Education teacher
- Tiffany Andrews, Bowie Elementary – Kindergarten teacher
During the event, Market Street San Angelo Store Director Kylon Atteberry, along with Market Street Representative Jim Marks, announced that these five SAISD teachers were the distinguished winners of the Market Street Teacher Appreciation Contest. This contest saw over 600 nominations, highlighting the significant appreciation for educators within the San Angelo community.
Each of the honored teachers received gift cards ranging from $250 to $500 as a token of gratitude for their unwavering dedication to the students of San Angelo. In addition to individual recognitions, Lake View High School was awarded a $500 gift card for submitting the highest number of nominations in the contest, demonstrating strong community engagement and support for their educators.
San Angelo ISD extends its sincere gratitude to community partners like Market Street for their continuous support of public education and for recognizing SAISD Difference Maker educators.
