Understanding these extraction points is key to mastering Streets of Tarkov and maximizing your raid success.
Streets of Tarkov Extract Locations: A Detailed Breakdown
Navigating Streets of Tarkov can be daunting, especially when under pressure. Knowing the location and requirements of each extract can be the difference between a successful raid and losing everything. Let’s break down each extract point on the map, starting from the Collapsed Crane in the west and moving clockwise, using the community-made map by Jindouz as our reference.
Collapsed Crane Extract
Escape From Tarkov Streets of Tarkov collapsed crane extract
The Collapsed Crane extract is located in the construction area and is identifiable by the large, fallen crane structure. As the name suggests, look for the prominent visual of a crane that has clearly seen better days, resting against a building. This area is a common Scav spawn point, so exercise caution and clear the vicinity before attempting to extract. Once the area is secure, position yourself within the debris of the collapsed crane until the extraction timer initiates. Be aware of Scavs who may be positioned in the upper levels of the adjacent construction building, as they can pose a significant threat to players extracting at this location.
Scav Checkpoint Extract
Escape From Tarkov Scav Checkpoint extract
The Scav Checkpoint extract is situated within the green zone area of the map. Head north into the designated green zone, and you will encounter a clearly marked checkpoint. Follow the orange hazard tape to the right of the checkpoint structure. Proceed along this path to trigger the extraction. This extract is relatively straightforward, but the green zone itself can be a hotspot for both player Scavs and PMCs. Maintain vigilance and expect potential encounters while moving towards and during the extraction process.
Underpass Extract
Streets of Tarkov Underpass extract
The Underpass extract is located beneath Klimov Street. On either side of Primorskij Ave, you’ll find staircases leading downwards, marked by a blue sign with downward-pointing steps. Descend these stairs, and take a right turn to proceed to the extraction zone. The underpass area can be a risky location due to the potential for extract campers. Additionally, be extremely cautious not to overshoot the entrances to the underpass while on Klimov Street, as snipers positioned on Klimov Street overlook this area and pose a lethal threat to unaware players.
Klimov Street Extract (Green Flare Required)
Escape From Tarkov Klimov Street Extract
The Klimov Street extract is a conditional extract, requiring a green flare for activation. Crucially, do not proceed past the sign pictured without first deploying a green flare. To use this extract correctly, halt before the sign, equip a green flare, and fire it vertically into the sky. Once the flare is airborne, advance forward. The extraction zone will trigger as you pass the hedges located just ahead of the sign.
There is still some ambiguity regarding the flare requirement – it’s not fully confirmed whether a single flare activates the extract for an entire squad or just for the individual player who fired it. Experimentation and caution are advised when using this extract with a group. Successful extraction at Klimov Street is necessary for completing the “Cease Fire!” quest.
Sewer River Extract
Streets of Tarkov Sewer River extract
For players looking for a less conspicuous exit, the Sewer River extract offers a subterranean escape route. Locate the hole in the ground as depicted in the image and enter it. Continue moving into the sewer tunnel until the extraction timer appears.
The Sewer River extract is considered a highly exposed extraction point, especially when approaching it. It is situated in a corner of the industrial area, offering long sightlines for players with optics to engage approaching targets. While relatively safe once inside the sewer tunnel, the approach to the entrance can be perilous due to its open nature and location in a potentially high-traffic zone. This is arguably one of the riskier extracts on the Streets of Tarkov map.
Damaged House Extract

Located near the cinema, the Damaged House extract provides a relatively quick and straightforward escape. Identify the semi-demolished house adjacent to construction vehicles, as shown in the image. Enter the damaged house and proceed into the enclosed hallway within. The extraction timer will initiate once you are inside this hallway.
While generally considered a safer extract, be mindful of potential threats. Scavs may fire down at the damaged house from the cinema area, and a sniper Scav positioned atop the cinema could also pose a danger. Despite these risks, the Damaged House extract is typically a less stressful option if it is available as one of your extracts.
Courtyard Extract (Green Flare Required)
Escape From Tarkov courtyard flare extract
The Courtyard extract is a publicly available extract that requires a green flare to be active outside to be usable. The extract is located in the alleyway adjacent to the FCK chicken shop and near the cinema. If a green flare is burning in this area, the Courtyard extract is active and accessible to all players.

To use the extract, proceed down the alleyway next to the green flare. You will find an open door marked with “HELP”. Enter this doorway to initiate the extraction timer. The flare requirement makes this extract situational, but it can be a useful option if the conditions are met.
Primorsky Ave Taxi Extract (Conditional & Costly)
Escape From Tarkov Primorsky Ave Taxi extract
The Primorsky Ave Taxi extract is a conditional car extract, and as the original article humorously notes, the taxi is often absent. If the taxi is present, it will be located at the designated spot on Primorsky Ave.
Using this extract requires a 60-second wait time with minimal cover, making it particularly challenging for solo players due to its exposed location in a high-traffic area. Groups can manage the space more effectively but must coordinate to ensure everyone is back at the taxi before the timer expires, or teammates will be left behind. Each player must also pay a fee of at least 5,000 rubles to use the taxi. This fee can fluctuate based on your Fence reputation and charisma skill level. Successfully extracting via Primorsky Ave Taxi is a requirement for the “Dangerous Road” quest.
Evacuation Zone Extract
Escape From Tarkov Evacuation Zone extract
The Evacuation Zone extract is one of the simplest extracts to locate and use. Look for the highly visible orange and black hazard tape marking the extraction zone along the roadside. Simply approach the tape to initiate the extraction. However, this extract offers no cover, making you vulnerable while extracting. Consider using erratic movement (“jiggling”) to make yourself a less predictable target while exposed during the extraction process, especially if you suspect enemy players are nearby.
Mastering Streets of Tarkov Extracts for Survival
Knowing the extracts on Streets of Tarkov is just the first step. Understanding the risks associated with each, the conditional requirements, and the surrounding environments is crucial for consistently successful raids. Plan your routes, be aware of your surroundings, and always prioritize your extract strategy to maximize your chances of escaping with your loot. Good luck in Tarkov.
